Geography of Religion & New Religious Movements

Section Description


The purpose of the Geography of Religion & New Religious Movements Section is to foster communication between evangelical geographers of religion and missional practitioners for the exchange of geographic information and ideas and to organize presentations and other activities within the context of meetings of the Evangelical GIS Society.  The section fosters connections between missional practitioners who work with world religious adherents and new religious movements, GIS professionals and evangelical institutions. Officers of the section are elected at the online EGIS annual meeting.  An online elearning portal with video conferencing capabilities has been provided for the section on the eCampus of Missional University accessible to members through the Portal@MU link.
